Regulation (EU) 528/2012 (BPR) on biocides
In the European Union, companies that sell biocidal products (such as disinfectants, preservatives or pesticides) must comply with any national or European regulations affecting their sector.
The BPR Regulation (Regulation [EU] 528/2012) came into force on September 1, 2013, replacing Directive 98/8/EC on the regulation of biocidal products to provide greater protection for humans and the environment.
